The objective of this project was to reimagine and create a new album cover for a collection of songs from the artist
A$AP Rocky. I started by investigating what his identity
means to his listeners. Rocky has managed to brand himself
as an underground and cult artist within the larger mainstream scene. I intended to show that his mark on the rap scene and industry as a whole has left a lasting "energy" that is a visceral and emotional experience for his fans and audience. I visualized his energy through practical effects known as
"light painting." Photoshop was only used for color correction, all other effects were done in camera and practically.
